Academy student Shannon Faloon

Teaching staff in The Academy Hair & Beauty Training School are continually reminded of the talent and skill of their hairdressing and beauty therapy students. This talent does not only apply to the salon, as has been proven by NVQ Level 2 student Shannon Faloon. Shannon is currently completing her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing at our Rosemary Street, Belfast campus and is also completing her placement at Sheer Bliss Hair Studio, Belfast. A past pupil of St. Joseph's College, Belfast, Shannon was approached by her drama teacher from the college asking her to get involved in assisting the colleges current Dance GCSE students. Shannon has previously completed qualifications in Dance and is now using her talent to help students choreograph dances for their GCSE examinations. As well as this, Shannon also assists on specific performances held in the school, including the 'End of Year' performance. Shannon works with students aged 17 and 18 years of age, choreographing dances for the schools musicals and talent shows.

Shannon rehearses with students every Tuesday and Wednesday evening, with rehearsals extending to Saturday mornings during busy times or when the school is rehearsing for a new musical or onstage performance.
She has begun work with the Beaver Players Club, in partnership with Deviant Theatre Productions. This involved working on the choreography for the new theatre company's first performance and assisting backstage.
Shannon clearly has an amazing talent in dance, one which has been recognised by St. Joseph's College, Belfast and new and upcoming theatre companies in the Belfast area.

The Academy Hair & Beauty Training School is extremely proud of Shannon's involvement in this venture. Shannon is an excellent example of the talent of our students and all the teaching staff wish her good luck in the future.
