Fresh from the success of their last event in the Cathy Short Theatre, Michael Quinn and Paddy McGurgan returned in December 2012 for a second Hair & Make-Up demonstration.

The agenda for the day was demonstrating three key trends for the Christmas season - ‘Vintage Look’, ‘Back-to-Style’ and ‘Glitter on the Dance floor’, with both the hair and make-up exhibited on stage in front of an eager audience of students and teaching staff from The Academy Hair & Beauty Training School.

Emphasising how they have become such a huge success in the hairdressing and beauty industry, both Michael and Paddy worked their magic, explaining step-by-step to their audience how to achieve the required looks and offering up expert titbits of advice that were invaluable to the Academy students attending on the day.

Once the looks were completed the reins were handed to photographer Lee Mitchell. Lee utilised the venue’s photographic suite to show the students how the looks that Michael and Paddy created become the amazing images that are seen so often on websites and in magazines throughout the world. Students and teaching staff gathered around the cameras and watched in awe as Lee’s images were then transferred to the screen for the last minute touch ups. All three images, seen below, were created with the combined effort of a team that are leading the industry and setting the standards that Academy students are already aspiring to.
